Superb! Wow! Love the way the figure on the right is (very) slightly blurred compared to the sharper image of the woman closet to the observer.

I like to use my fingertips to smudge them, blending the charcoal pencil marks . And sometimes I just let the shading be. One of my art teachers said that rubbing for effect was not a good thing to do....the way I see it is, you do anything that you can think of to get the final effect you want. Make up your own rules and have at it.
