A week ago I spent a pleasant afternoon sketching a window at a place here in Coventry England called Charterhouse Priory which dates back to 14th century, This was a first for me as I had never been outside sketching before ever!. but I found it really relaxing and pleasant, anyway at the Priory they have a huge folder that contains copies and original drawings and sketches of the priory that has been done over the last hundred years or more and I have been asked if I would like my sketch to be added to the folder to which I said yes. At least I know I will have one piece of my art still around years after I am dead and buried
June 16, 2018 at 1:03 am #641660You are preserved for posterity! I’m surprised that you haven’t sketched outside before. It is very relaxing. This has come out nicely. Architectural details are a challenge.
C&C always welcome.

June 17, 2018 at 12:25 am #641657I didn’t know you were around in the 14th century .. I mean I knew you were really old but I hadn’t realized just how old you are … but then you are full of surprises these days. This is quite a change from your norm Gordon .. but done quite nicely. I hope you last at least another century or two which should give you ample chances to return outdoors to draw. Let’s hope you can remember to do that … after all, memory is the second thing to go, you know. I won’t be around that long I’m sure, but I’ll keep an eye on you for a long as I can anyway …

Ken; just think of all the achievements that this world has given us that I have witnessed, I remember watching most of them on television back in the 15th century and onwards mind you back then we had to watch tele by candlelight as there was no electricityJune 19, 2018 at 10:53 am #641658No wonder you are having trouble with your hearing – there was no audio so you had to strain to hear the silence over that candle’s roar. But my .. the things you have seen!!
June 20, 2018 at 3:49 am #641659Nicely done, and what an honour to be asked, Gordon! Not many of us can claim that some of our artwork will still be being viewed, many years in the future
