Think of it as a "cleansing". Facing your fears in life can be very rewarding and a an extremely progressive thing to do. You know, as they say...."What does not kill us makes us stronger."

Well Friedrich Nietzsche in some cases is correct in other cases no, it makes you weaker!

"Naming calls," according to Stephen Maturin in Patrick O'Brien's saga.

Susie brought her brat of a cousin over yesterday evening and she insisted on playing a "Rap" song where I could hear it. I listened with growing irritation, and at the end, I said, 'You know, Hannah, the Icelandic sagas were sung by two different kind of singers, the "Singing Skalds" and "the Roaring Skalds." I think the Roaring Skalds are making a comeback.' All I got was a puzzled look followed by a teenaged eyeroll. But Susie laughed, which was points for me.

It always works for me...see, I have this horrible overactive imagination that creates nightmares where there ultimately are none, so facing these upcoming horrors always makes me stronger. But that's me....the world is full of those who can't cope with the fight ahead no matter what.

My husband always says what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. And I always no, that's not always true. An illness or an accident can leave you weaker.

lol Bill, kids have no taste. Except us, when were were kids.

Woody, that's terrifying!

My last surgery on my arm was so comfy, I fell asleep while waiting for them to put me asleep. My face with this tooth thing is still killing me.

Michelle, you could always do your greatest fears then burn it, they say that's cathartic.

I like rap music, I don't like the weird sort of droning singing that seems to be in style now, they sing in that sort of monotone mumble (for instance Drake) and I find that annoying.

It snowed all night here. I got up at 4am and did my neighbours drive and mine. Took me almost three hours but boy it was so pretty out as the sun was coming up on the snow. Makes me want to paint but I'm taking a nap first!

At least we didn't have tattoos back then. They were for sailors and motorcyclers. They told us in Med school, "Tattoos mean possible gonorrhea, syphilis, or tuberculosis."

Omg Virginia, at 4 am!

Sometime in the early 90s my cousin said to never get a tattoo in Winnipeg. You had go someplace else, like Edmonton. Now, everyone is getting them and they just go to local places, never mind Winnipeg. Not me though, way too wimpy.

I did do something for this project. It was quick and simple and represents a fear without actually being something scary.

Love the ep of Friends where Phoebe chickened out after the first prick of the needle and said that the resulting dot was Earth the way it looked to her mother in Heaven.
Me, I have always said that if I ever got a tattoo, it would be an anchor on the forearm like Popeye the Sailor Man.
