Oops, forgot for a bit what subforum I am in. My entry for this month for Fantsy/SciFi is done, my acrylic not even begun. Well I washed the canvas just now, and it is drying

Really? People don't know what a toque is? lol

And I never say aboot.

I never say "aboot" either, I don't know anyone who does, I do pronounce the t in it though which Americans don't tend to enunciate. I find most Americans tend to slur the ends of their words, makes them hard to understand sometimes. My son has a weird accent, he grew up in so many different places including Canada and Europe that he picked up a little here and a little there.

I have "Music Box Dancer" on my workout shuffle. That Christmas song is great, man I loved David Cassidy and Holly Hobby!

Attalus, I'm jealous, I'm still trying to pick a song.

Woody, I love those sixties songs too. Nice toque!

Having annoying girlfriends is a parlous state. They can help you or hurt you. But Susie is very prolific with ideas. Right now she is pestering me to draw (again! I have already done two. ) another one of her webcomic fave, Puck, being introduced to Oberon. I ask you! If you read Midsummer Night's Dream at all, they already know each other quite well, right?

Oh, Dianna that's just too obvious. I had about a dozen titles in mind, like Bob Dylan's LAY LADY LAY or whatever it's called. The funny thing is I never picked anything from the eighties...then it hit me. (ouch!!!) Music videos already visualized most of that stuff so I'd be treading over well worn territory.

(And don't think I didn't briefly consider ALLEY OOP or THE MONSTER MASH!)

So I'm starting on mine for this challenge today and the one in Acrylics.
Going outside my comfort zone on the one for here.
I hope it turns out OK.
Good news our well is fixed as of yesterday! It was expensive over a thousand dollars but you have to have water!
Finished washing the mountain of dishes and laundry is drying, time for fun art stuff now!

Re: January 2018 Fantasy and Sci-Fi Art Monthly Challenge and Chat!

I like the challenges in this forum the best because they stretch your imagination...most of the other challenges on the other subforums give you a half dozen pictures or so, and you have to draw or paint one of them. I find that too restricting(but maybe that's because I'm a poopy head) So this month I like the sci-fi challenge as well as the acrylic challenge. I'm also doing the Western subforum challenge...they have pictures but one is a rusted wreck of a car...I'm going to put skeletons in it.

I've never even looked in the Western forum.

I wonder what they'll think of your skeletons?

Is the pterodactyl after the cowboy or the horse?

Probably the cowboy as he could probably pick the rider off the horse by the shoulders. Either way, I don't think the cowboy wants to find the answer to your question.

If I was that cowboy, the pterodactyl would have to bring his lunch to lift me off of that horse.
