Re: Very Scary Women's Health Issue!

Oh Lindsey....I was so hoping that when I get off this I won't be tired anymore.

Backroom beads, I haven't been to a nutritionist yet, but if I find anything out about what will help, I'll let you know. I'm under the impression that there isn't much you can do to help until you are off of it. Believe me, I tried everything under the sun to try and fight my constant fatigue! The only thing that helped at all was juvenon.

Re: Very Scary Women's Health Issue!

I had 3 shots of Depo in 6 months the year after having my tubes tied because I was having constant bleeding attributed to peri-menopause even though I was early 30's. I immediately experienced severe migraines and depression, and decided not to take any more shots. It was about 2 years before my periods returned, but when they did, they were regular and normal.

However, the tiredness and joint pain continued. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis after about a year. They were never associated with Depo, but now I have to wonder if there is a connection. Hormones are very powerful things!

Re: Very Scary Women's Health Issue!

I'm 19 yrs old I took the depo shot. My doctor told me either you will spot every day or you won't have a period at all. Spotting is an understatement! I took the shot and had a full blown out bad period (at least that's what I thought). I thought it would end after seven days but unfortunately it didn't. I bled for 28 days straight and it was really bad! So now because of it I am anemic because I lost to much blood. So I stick with the pill.
