I finished this not-so-little fella recently and wanted to share. The pose has a friendly greeting quality which I thought would make for an engaging paper sculpture.

Cardstock and foam core for the armature
Prismacolor pencil on Mi-Teintes paper for the feathers

How did you create him? Do you colour each piece of paper that makes up his feathers, etc?

Schuee ~ the paper sculpture begins with a card stock armature which serves as a 3 dimensional support for the feathers and other colored elements. Each feather is then colored, cut out, molded to a slight curve and then glued to the armature. Extremely time consuming but the end result (especially when viewed in person) is well worth it.
Thank you all again!
