January 6, 2018 at 2:12 pm #449000The D&S Best Of 2017 Art Show
We would like each and every one of you to post ONE of your own pieces from 2017 that you deem to be your best or favorite work.
You may make a few comments about it if you wish to do so. Many people are interested to know the medium, the size and the paper or surface used.
We want to keep this thread limited to images only, without comments on other people’s work.So that the thread does not become overly long with comments or other chat:
POSTS CONTAINING ONLY COMMENTS WILL BE DELETED
.If you want comments of your work you can post a link to your original thread so that people can comment there.
Thank you.

My DeviantArt GalleryJanuary 14, 2018 at 7:47 pm #540087Well I just can’t resist posting the drawing I did of Casper. It has to be my favourite so far, so much so that I make a photocopy of it to hang on my office wall at work.
After trying a technique of scratching the paper with a stylus to create fine white lines I felt I was ready to tackle something really challenging.
Casper is done on Canson sketch pad paper, 4 x 6 inches (my usual size) and using a variety of pencils from 4H through to 6B. I do my blending with home-made tortillions.
