New work

Here's another in the series but a little smaller entitled Variations of Static, 34" X 42", oil on canvas. Thanks for looking!

Great Job on this prizmetrix. Perfect balance. I can only see them getting more and more intricate and awesome. .

Re: New work

This is a great looking piece. Really nice colors, lots of nice things going on but it doesn't feel too cluttered. I think I like the lower left quarter of it the best. Awesome job. I don't really have any constructive criticism to give, I guess maybe blending in your two darkest areas a bit more so they don't feel so dense compared to everything else could be something to consider? Also not sure if you did it intentionally but lining them up diagonal from each other corner to corner kind of lines them up with each other which is different than the more free flowing feel to the rest of the piece if that makes any sense. Like I said before though awesome job, I wouldn't call any of that stuff an issue with the piece just trying to give you some things to think about.

Re: New work

Thanks TimE and Alex, I see your point. As is usual with me, this started off looking very different but finally evolved into this. The dark areas are was left of that earlier effort. I guess I didn't notice how they lined up!

Re: New work

I like the crispness and thrust of the 'lines' in your painting Jan. There is a vibrancy and freshness to it and it conveys an intriguing beauty.

Nice. I agree with Singblue, it has an orchestral feel to it.

Re: New work

This painting is so good, so full of rich colors, contrasts, and movement, that I am overwhelmed. Great size and a great photo. that really helps.
