Gutsy and fearless color, composition, and mood. You've really honed your style into something instantly recognizable as uniquely yours. I think that work like this would be popular in a lot of the galleries I've visited around here. Beautiful and exciting works, Richard!

Some more palette knife works, done in a loose expressionistic style with semi abstract passages.

I love how each of these new ones have such a different feel, one from another. Bold texture and color, and just a whole lot of feeling in them. Well done!

Re: Weekly Paintings - past - present & future

Thanks Jenna - I get very emotional when I paint the Southwest! Going out to New Mexico pretty soon - a short trip - so I will just bring some charcoal for sketching & create paintings upon our return.

Your new works are just remarkable and each landscape is different from the last. I know you'll enjoy going back to NM; it is a place all its own with that special light.

Thanks Kay - looking forward to going back to Santa Fe - it's been a while - we rented an airb&b - walking distance to the plaza & Canyon Rd.
