Sky's the limit

This is the place to post all those wonderful Sky photos you have been taking. Welcome all comers and I will kick off with one or two. All taken from my terrace at home. Eileen

I love the clouds in that third picture!

Here's one taken through a windshield with a few added distractions.

I have a few to share, all taken from my neighborhood (except the last one):

This one is on I-5 on the way to Portland from Seattle . . .

Re: Skys the limit

I have posted these two on another thread here before, but if you ask me they deserve another view, if I have to say so myself:

And how about this cloud shaped like a dragon:

And when I took this photo of the two girls standing on a steep hill, I didn't even notice the contrail in the background, so it was a pleasant surprise:

Last but not least, a sky reflected in water is a sky no less:

Re: Skys the limit

The beauty and variety are stunning.

Here are of my favorites...

[1] Something about the simple subtlety of this morning sky...

[2] And fifteen minutes later, facing the opposite direction...

[3] And one that became a painting very quickly...

Re: Skys the limit

Hi All,
Looks like there are a few skies out there.
Hi Brian I remember your great photos , they are worth another look.
I may have posted some of mine on that same thread earlier, I cannot remember which ones though.

Re: Skys the limit

Wow, I am stunned by the selection already on here. Great photos guys. I love the dragon. New Zealand skies look as glorious as the ones here in Spain. Don't you just love the dark purple in those clouds.

Now tell me what you see in that last image. Eileen

Re: Skys the limit

Hi All,
Marmsk, very coy maiden in your last image. I haven't seen any New Zealand skies yet, they look like yours?

Re: Skys the limit

What a beutiful earth we live on.... thanks for open this thread. And what a great name "Skyes the limit" Each photo has the wow factor !!
The first photo is from the street where my gallery is. I took it at lunch time when I noticed the day light had changed and this is what I saw when I came out into the street. Luckily I had my camera with me. It was a bit spooky

WOW, So many amazingly stunning and gorgeous skies to see in this thread, I've been feasting my eyes!! I took these rainbow pics one evening right at sunset, after bunches of little rainstorms had moved through the area.

Re: Skys the limit

And here is the midnight sun. Few minutes from my house in Reykjavik, looking north the time is 00:52 on July 1st 2008. The sunrise was a little more to the east two hours later. But I could not stay awake...
