Wild Purple Roses

8.5x5 mixed media (alcohol inks, collage, white gel pen) on cardstock done in stages as I just could not get anything going but perservered Using the gel pen for floral outlines seemed to pull it out of the trash bin

Beautiful, Kay! Did you collage before applying the inks? Using slick cardstock?

Re: Wild Purple Roses

Collage was already on the cardstock before I tackled it, yes.

Re: Wild Purple Roses

Lovely work Kay. It doesn't look like a piece destined for the trash bin now! Wish it was easier to portray textures and raised surfaces in photographs. Everything looks better in person, but collage and mixed media more than most.
