Re: The Spotlight - June 2019 - Finale

Esther, your sunset is beautiful!

Hello to everyone else here that I've neglected for three years. (Hangs head in shame.)

Don, thank you for all the work you've done and for the valuable teaching material you've provided in the Spotlight over the years. You're a wonderful teacher, and your contributions to WetCanvas are a treasure trove for aspiring artists. Here is a tiny flower (actually, it's 9" x 12") I'm posting to say thank you.

I haven't taken part here very much another person struggling to get back to being an artist. Your lessons and reading all the comments have been inspiring. Thanks for all you have done, Don. We do appreciate you! See ya around....

Don, the lessons each month were wonderful to so many and I always learned something. Thank you for the time it took to prepare them and many thanks for hosting this activity for so many years!

Thanks so much Donna! Of course, you were there as a guide when we came up with the concept of the Spotlught - and it was you that gave the Spotlight it's name!

Thanks for all your support over the years!

Blayne, Thank you so much! It has been a pleasure hosting the Spotlight all these years - and nobody learned more than I did!

Blayne! I almost missed this on page two. What a beautiful soft iris. You achieved a feathery look that I envy.

We did have fun didnít we?

Sigh, I meant to comment on Esther's lovely sunset. It is right on. And Blayne the iris is splendid. Nice finishes!

My contribution to the final spotlight. I have a lot more to learn about using pastels especially in the landscape category. I will check back into this area for more expertise.

Thank you so much for taking time and commenting Donna, Blayne, Jay and Joe.

Blayne, what a nice little iris.

sanlynn, your sunset has such a tranquil mood and the colors glow. And it's nice to see someone else doing the watercolor/pastel combo.

Re: The Spotlight - June 2019 - Finale

Thank you for your kind comments Jay, Jo, Don and Esther. My sunset was done on Art Spectrum paper. Esther although it may look like I used a watercolour/pastel combo it is just pastel. Someday I will venture into underpainting though.
