Thanks Jenna - the trip thus far has been wonderful - had dinner with friends last nite - great Mexican food - I worked p/t with him in a local Santa. Fe hardware store when we lived here. He became my best friend - he is Mexican and the salt of the earth.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your time away - and if these paintings are any indication, you've come back renewed and inspired to paint! You just keep getting better and better.

Re: Weekly paintings Southwest & Florida

During our 2 week+ stay in NM we received an invitation to view the works of artist Walt Gonske who has been an idol of mine for the past 15 years. It was an amazing exhibit taking place in his gallery at his beautiful home in Taos NM. Such a wonderful treat! There were several dozen paintings on exhibit throughout his home and attached gallery. Beautiful work ranging in price from $2,500 - $35,000. Needless to say we did not purchase any but we did buy his coffee table book of paintings put together as a retrospective of his favorite works. Attached photo of Walt & me ( I'm the little guy with the cane ) :>]]

Richard, sounds like a good rest and good time in New Mexico. Fun to see you in the "flesh".

Re: Weekly paintings Southwest & Florida

Welcome home after your holiday Richard! How does it feel to be back painting again! I very much like your 'scrub desert bushes' purple and yellow so nice together and an interesting cloud shape that draws the eye in. Lovely and nice to see your paintings again.
