Re: a few critters

You have captured the light in these paintings in a awesome way, they are so brilliant, like they are lit from within!

The varying stiles are really nice. I love the collie and the cow. Beautiful brush work.

Oh my! These are exceedingly beautiful! You have such a lovely way with the lighting and accuracy of the colors in each one of these. Plus your impasto is gorgeous.

Re: a few critters

Hey guys, I'm sorry.. I didn't realize other folks had posted. Sorry for not responding sooner.
Jenny, thanks. The light is what I'm after most of the time!
nickib.. that little Collie, Mattie, belongs to my neighbor. She's an old gal, but really sweet.
Judy, thank you! That's quite a compliment.
Dave, again, thanks.. brushwork... it's my constant effort to improve!
Misted Dream, thanks too.... I've been having fun with the palette knife lately...

Re: a few critters

Deb, what a great collection of paintings. As you can imagine, the cat has to be my favorite. The softness of the fur and the wisdom of the eyes...you really captured "cat". Excellent work on all of them!

Re: a few critters

All of these are truly beautiful!! You have such a variety of subject matter but you seem to approach each one so confidently - it shows in your brushstrokes (pallette-knife-strokes?) and lighting. Each one of these comes to life!

Personally, I like the little wren on the flowering branch the most.
