Beautiful work. The colour of the feathers is spot on and you’ve caught that shine on his back too. Love the detail in the willow branch and the simple background is perfect. I’m actually going out looking for kingfishers tomorrow so it was nice to see this today!

And it is a male, I didn’t type “his” by default. I actually typed “her”, but then looked it up. Females have a bit of colour on the bottoms of their beaks. So, I learned something today.
