Sorry to have been absent for several weeks due to temporary health issues. Also trying to find a less expensive apartment, a depressing process! Anyway, so happy to be back.

The painting is done with watercolor pencils and gouache on 140 lb. watercolor paper. I was going for a vivid semi-abstract approach. Took about 2 hours. Size is roughly 7″ x 9″.

Thanks to Duplikate for hosting, with fantastic images!

Connie T, We are glad you are back! The beautiful and cheerful colors in this do not portray any depression, so I hope you can keep your sunnyside up! Great job with gouache. I usually forget and somehow mess it up when I try it, as opposed to acrylics.

I really like the improvised quality of this. ‘Taking a line for a walk’ and then treating it to some decorative colours. Nice.

                                C&C always welcome.

So uplifting and happy to see on a cold windy and rainy day! This will go nicely probably in your new apartment. Glad to see you are back!
