Question plein air event help

hi I'm a novice. a small city near me is having there first annual plein air event in October. I've never done anything like this. we have 6 days after the event opens to turn in our paintings. do you start your painting in open air then finish in the studio. I don't know how these things work

Re: plein air event help

Plein air paintings are done entirely outdoors on location. (Except for maybe using a finger later to soften an edge or two, but don't let them know I said that. )

Look up the information about the plein air event. They probably have a website that will answer a lot of your questions. Their website probably has contact info. Call one or two of the organizers with any other questions you might have.

I wrote a few other things on this thread:

Then go out and practice, and go have fun!

Six days? Wow, that is a hell of a lot of time. Up here it is three hours max
