acrylic on hardboard, 16×20
I tend to use acrylic paint like oils, and sometimes I am not sure which is which.
Everything else being equal, I would rather be in the painting zone.

February 7, 2020 at 6:51 am #943239Thanks LavenderFrost. Elena, I like to mix the acrylic paint with medium that helps to retard the drying and allows me to mix small amounts with the brush and apply. I just put some of the medium on the plastic palette tray and dip into it as needed.

February 13, 2020 at 4:33 pm #943237I also thought it was an oil! The greens are nice and natural looking.

Success is never found. Failure never fatal. Courage is the only thing.
Winston Churchill.February 13, 2020 at 5:45 pm #943241Thanks SkyeNorth, I am really considering switchng to acrylics, because they allow one to almost instantaneously change things, while one has to wait with oils. Have you considered acrylics yourself?
