Giving and Receiving Feedback (C&C)

I would firstly like to thank all those members who regularly take the time to give feedback. Feedback is an integral part of being a member of Wet Canvas. As artists we need to know whether we are going about things the right way. constructive and kind criticism is a valuable aspect of our growth as artists. I am sure you will agree with this and that is why you post your work on our Forum. However, to receive comments, we should also be prepared to give a moment or two to give feedback to other artists. I notice that there are so many folk looking at the artwork but sometimes only one or two comments.

Every artist appreciates feedback on the work posted. A simple 'well done or thank you for sharing - nice colours etc' are comments that take no more than a few seconds of our time and I would appeal to you all to make an effort in this direction.

Another aspect that is also very important, is that when we do receive feedback , we thank those who have kindly taken the time to comment. I have been approached by one of our members regarding this aspect.

We are a wonderful forum with talented animal artists in many mediums and giving and receiving feedback must be part of our Animal and Wildlife Forum.

Hugs for you all and pats for your pets,

Welcome To The Animal & Wildlife Forum - new members please read

Welcome to the Animal & Wildlife Forum

Your Forum Moderators are;
Vivien Maloney and Chammi Kaiser

Your Guides are; Skappy/Robert, Triduana/Kay and fedetony/Federico

We have a monthly Challenge; "Feathers, Fur & Scales Challenge".
A different member, (with different photos), Hosts every month All members can enter the Challenges, and "reveal Date", is always the 20th of the month.

Please read carefully - makes everything more exciting!!

On the first of each month a reference photo or photos will be posted in a thread entitled Fur, Scales and Feathers Challenge.

Artwork can be any size on any surface and in any medium. However, the central theme must reflect Fur, Scales or Feathers.

Each member taking part can create a work using the chosen reference/s
(whole or cropped).

ON THE 20TH OF EACH MONTH participants will upload their interpretation of the reference for comments. PLEASE DO NOT UPLOAD WORK BEFORE THE 20TH.

It is much more fun when everyone uploads more or less at the same time.

At the end of the month, the thread/discussion will be closed and a new challenge will begin.

The Challenge should be a fun and an enjoyable experience so please join in.

We also have a Chat Room - The "Animal Inn".
Do call in and say hullo. We love to hear from members, especially members new to our Forum. We chat about anything - it doesn't has to be animal related.

And we have a Sub-Forum (found at the top of the Forum Page)
and it includes Project Discussions, A & W Reference Library, Hall of Fame and General Reference. In the General Reference Section, you will find a list of past Classrooms we've held and also links to our previous Challenges.

All Animal & Wildlife paintings/drawing/artwork are acceptable in our Forum.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have about posting etc in our Forum.
