Back in 1958 my dad took me to see MONSTER ON THE CAMPUS (or I took HIM to see it) and I wasn’t at all frightened…I was on the edge of my seat as a scientist (anthropologist) working as a teacher on a college campus and due to some science gone awry, turned himself into a primordial anthropoid….sort of a new twist on the werewolf gambit. I’ve always liked that brutish monster and watch the goofy film all the time. (My digital library is about 85% monster movies.)
This is my 18 x 24 card stock charcoal rendering (digitally colored a nice sienna hue) of the beast from this film along with a publicity photo of the hirsute horror doing what monsters have done for almost a century….carrying off pulchritude!!!

Most times I like to leave these things in monochrome but sometimes, as here, it looked a little flat and digitally adding the color helped make it a bit more lively!!!
And thanks, Virginia!!!
