I’m pretty sure this fits here, tho I posted in Landscapes already…
Artrage Oils. 14×18′ Orig.sizeApril 18, 2018 at 1:07 pm #606669This certainly does fit here, Skylar. This is stunning! Has such a wonderful sense of realism and motion. I look at that creek and it feels like it’s moving. Beautiful, rich colors and values, too. Really a treat to see this one!

My website https://jocastilloart.comApril 19, 2018 at 6:42 pm #606667I am fascinated by light and how different artists use it in their works.
This one is, dare I say, AWESOME.
So many different areas stand out because of it.Light, both reflecting off and shining through to the stream bed.
The brilliant highlights on the “shack”, the chartreuse grasses and the subdued and dark shadowy areas all work together fabulously.
Great job!Tim

April 22, 2018 at 10:20 am #606670Jenna – Thank you! You have pointed to some things which I painted, but didn’t expect anyone would notice.
Jo Thanks so much! Some of my personal subjects, also!
April 22, 2018 at 10:26 am #606671Chaffee – I am humbled,to say the least. This little painting has all the elements which you noted. I didn’t think anyone would realize those subtleties. This, I think, is because you are a photographer, and by inclination, see those things. Early on, I started photographing things I wanted to paint, and by doing so ,became a descent photographer. It is all in the Beholder’s eye – isn’t it?!
