I added that at the very end. By the way your painting is very good. I like how you muted the colors. Just define the area at the bottom right more so it is more coherent.

Thank you again Johannes. I have to work on the rocks a fair bit more yet as well as bits here and there. I particularly thank you for your generosity in sharing some artist tips along the way.....like smudging parts when almost dry and using the rag and your thumb is a real addition! Who needs a paintbrush?

Check him out on his blog. Stu
Thanks Stu. Come to think of it, I think I have been to his site at one time.

Remember though that Larry's style is really far from Johannes' one.

Bingo you nailed it! Just remove that bright spot in the the no fly zone at the right edge. Then I would not work on it anymore.

Correct, but in my opinion and especially for me, his teaching is both effective and complementary to Jo's style. Very few teachers are endowed with Jo's ability to communicate with their students. Stu

Still not sure whether or not to put the tree and bush in the foreground here, but it will sit for a bit while I decide, so I'll post it now.

Photo is a bit darker than the painting. Most of this was finished at the time of the paint along but I was having a problem with the foreground and ended up wiping it out a couple of times. 12X16 oil on canvas panel. Barb
