Re: Abstract II

Hi realy like your work you have excellent taste in the colors you choose AND the overall balance of them also you have great sense with composition..and you have rythm and movement etc etc what's not to like ..your "sisters" piece I very much like ,,had wondered to myself what that would look like a mirror image of it.ie flip it so the larger of the two faces is on the left (meaning if you were holding the piece in your hand and looking at it the larger of the two heads would be on were your left hand is holding it as opposed to now is on the right).

Re: Abstract II

yeah feels more surreal like that for some reason...yeah works. it's good speaking in terms of space with the weight at the bottom like that also the larger head that is now flipped the line of sight in the eyes the visual line so to speak goes right..so it's kinda good as your eyes are with the larger figure first on the left as you look at it and then you are directed right with those eyes looking right brings about a new centre..or in other words your left allways at the end with your attention resting in the middle of the frame or being brought back there which is nice as you are getting that feeling of closeness between the sisters so it is communicating that extra thing a personality etc rather than just all these dreary paintings that are very physicaly real looking to the point you loose any symbology they just become a material thing..where as with yor work here it is giving a feeling an experience..which personaly for me anyway is what it's all about.Anyway you got a real skill there you may not realise it however sometimes these things are intuitive

Re: Abstract II

it is way better in the mirror! you are right about the proportions/composition. going to keep what you wrote in mind going further.

Re: Abstract II

Looks good with the left face shape leading us into the composition.
