Daum & Gallé

This is the fourth in a series of flowers and glass. Art nouveau Glass featured is Daum and Gallé. Flowers featured are Lxia Viridiflora which is a rare South African intense turquoise beauty, and Jacob Rothschild Phragmipedium (cross) orchid, which has weird super long petals that hang down eerily.

Watercolour
25 x 25 cm

Re: Daum & Gallé

Both elegant vases I love and the color choice spot on for the blue flowers. The droopy orchids have their own allure that add to this floral still life. Most excellent, John!

Another great painting in the series John, so much to see I've been looking at it for ages.

Thanks so much for your encouragement. I am going to keep going with the series until I run out of inspiration I am an amateur, so I have the luxury of painting for pleasure only.

A beautiful piece John, such interesting shapes and colours.
A lovely series - I rather think it might be nice to see these all together in a thread - remind me to work on that!

Beautiful and interesting. Love the long hanging petals, and love the vases.
The rare turquoise orchid is most interesting too.
