Paper tone! No wrap

Hi guys!
I would love to learn how to tone my paper before drawing! I draw graphite or charcoal i love yellow or pinkish or gray paper just a tone down tonl make it easier for me to draw highlights with White pencil!
I tried to day with ink and after have sealed the paper with paper scotch, the paper dried and warped then i tried with tèa and water on a glass, without sealing with scotch!
Amazing result! The paper is perfectly flat!
Could you tell me some combination and the pratice how to do it to make it more permanent for a heavy drawing?

There are so many beautiful tinted acid-free drawing papers available. They take readily to white pencil or charcoal. You might want to try some.

I am especially fond of gray and light blue pastel paper for this use.

I agree about the many toned/tinted papers available. You could also tone your paper or board with PanPastels, which cover beautifully and erase out to white darn near effortlessly.
