    From a photo from Pixabay. This was done with a dip pen and white Indian ink. It’s 5×7 in a black sketchbook. The dip pen was a little rough on the paper but it dried okay.

    White on black, very effective ….. it’s a lovely portrait and I like the depth of white the dip pen gives.

    Thanks, I started doing it in black on white but didn’t like the effect as much.

    WOW – very well done… have tried to work white on black, sort of ink version of scatchboard, but to ill effect for me – cannot seem to ‘think’ in that manner…

    It’s kind of funny, I have terrible eyesight and I think that worked to my advantage, I found the dark paper and bright contrast easier to see.
