Linda, thanks for looking and for your vote of confidence, mom did like it, btw and she will be getting it all wrapped up under her tree,
I just have to decide if I want to mat and frame it or let her do it,...

Ok I haven't read any other comments so am not influenced by their interpretations so here is mine.........lol
Actually I see two different things here - one is an angel with golden hair but I also can see a couple holding a baby......either way - its simply beautiful - love the ethereal quality of this.

Pat, you are very intuitive, I painted the couple holding the Christ Child, but trhe Angel just appeared out of nowhere, thanks for your unbiased opinion, it means a lot to me,

Hello Kathy. My first impression was of Mary and Joseph with a babe in arms. I am very curious as to why you are painting on silk, and how? This piece has a delicious tranparency about it.
I do feel the very darkest area in the upper left a bit too 'heavy' and it seems to be pulling my eye away from the focal point. I wonder if you can balance that off at all?
Still, very lovely and very interesting result.

Thank you Steven, I see what you are saying and i dont think I can change it on this one but will make note of that on my next one, I did add the heavier color at the top at the last minute so it wasnt planned it just happened, Why did i paint on silk? I recieved a small bolt of charmouise silk last christmas, but when i tried to apply pigment into the silk it went all wrong, then wanting to experiment I pulled it out again, since i already had the dyes etc
i just iumped right in, i like the way the color bleeds out into the nest color and the way it is such an abstract medium to work with but is still watermedia, thansk for asking and for your encouragement
Linn, thank you so much appreciate your kind words
