Welcome Bridget. I have done about 40 projects. It's lots of fun and I have made some really great friends thru these trades.

Just got back from the Condo. The water was like ice. (Outdoor pool). It was windy and sunny so you had to stay in the water up to your neck. It was fun though.
If you like that cold feeling, you're more then welcome to come and chip some of the ice off my driveway.

Welcome Bridget!

Wow, Jeanne!! 40 projects!!! I am so impressed! This is only #6 for me!

You'd have to be a member of the Polar Bear Club to enjoy swimming where you are, Virginia. I never understood the attraction to that personally...maybe that's why I live on the Gulf Coast!

Welcome to the project, Bridget...you'll have lots of fun. You meet so many nice people who are wonderful artists. I've enjoyed "trading" very much. I'm going to take a "Book Binding" class sometime this year so I can make personal albums for my collections.

Lol! We are expecting the biggest storm in decades now, with snow, ice, possible tornadoes and snow thunder and then after that comes through, we'll dip into a nice -10F.
If I start driving now I could be at the coast .......

Wow! Do you display all your cards or keep them in books? You must have a heck of a collection.

The ATCs are in binders with plastic inserts that hold 12 on each page and they could hold 12 more on the back side but I like to see who and where they are from. I think they are made for baseball cards. The postcards sized ones are in 4x6 albums. The others and there have been many other sizes including bookmarks, are in a larger album. I also do a monthly trade in another forum.

My projects here.

Re: Project Discussion: People, Places and Things

How on earth do you find the time to do all that Jeanne? You must work at it constantly...and here I am bummed out cause I can't work on my lunch hour tomorrow (Lunch meeting). If I have to go the whole weekend without painting, I'm a grumpy girl!

Bridget...where did you find your books? Did you order them online? I didn't think about giving it a go on my own...hmmm. My poor husband, when the wheels start turning, it's going to cost him more money at the art store! Fortunately for me, he's very patient & generous!

Virginia...come on down! We have a spare bedroom...but fair warning...the dogs are on that side of the house and my mother-in-law says they are very vocal in the mornings!

This is going to be FUN! I was looking through my lists today of the Old Masters...so many to choose from, and not enough participants! I may have to carry over a few of those to this trade!

Happy Painting!
Jackie

Re: Project Discussion: People, Places and Things

Jackie, I find lots of wonderful books on many subjects on half.com
great prices there too. If I find I book I like but want more detailed information, I copy the ISBN number & paste it into Amazon.com. I then read more about it there & if I want to purchase it I go back to half.com

What a great idea Jeanne!

Jackie, I don't mind dogs, in fact I think I'd bring my dog, he thinks he's an artist, really likes to paint. I think you'd like him.

Sampson in dioxiane violet.

Here is the way my cards are stored. This is the second book. I have already filled one. This one still has lots of pages. The last photo in the second post is one of several 4x6 albums.

What a great way to store your collection! I love all the lab pictures. I have a lab as well. He's a big goofy darling.

The only lab photo is in the last photo. That is Penny. The other ones were of my Red Golden Retriever Friday who passed away a year ago. She was really long and tall as you can tell from the bookmark. That long photo was taken by me when she was less than a year old...probably about 6 months old. She was just under 10 when she passed. Penny is about 4 and a sweetheart who sheds terribly, loves to eat, and is really jealous of any attention I pay to Dizzy my miniature Schnauzer.

What breed is Sampson? I had a similar look when my White Schnauzer chewed up a black marker.on the carpet.
