Re: Project Discussion: Out of Africa Trade

J - I was thinking of a native animal exchange. i.e. participants draw there local animals for the exchange. Something to think about for the future, I can't handle it now.

My aunt died today, Didn't need that so soon after my mom. She and my mother shared a house . Therefore I get to go thru all this again since I am the closest relative. The good news is that I now have my own house, thus the move. And yes I am planning on letting my husband stay at the old house.

Jean

Re: Project Discussion: Out of Africa Trade

So sorry about your aunt and the other. Sounds like this hasn't been your year. We will have good thoughts that next year will be much better.

We are going to be 3 Jeans on this trade.

If anyone besides JustJean would rather have only ATC size, please let us know. I will add it to the mailing list. I have all 20 addresses for the 20 people signed up so there won't be a wait for that once the project is full or closed.

Adria thanks. I appreciate you deleting your name. It makes it much easier. I look forward to hearing your comments and knowing you are participating by "watching" the thread and art.

J & all: I am so sorry I just decide to opt out. I still owe quite a lot of cards for two previous projects so this really stresses me out.

Pls. cross my name out of the list.

Re: Project Discussion: Out of Africa Trade

Since I decided on the theme for what I am going to draw for this exchange I have 15 cards sketched out. Therefore I don't have to think for a while.

Aunt Jean has been in hospice for 8 months so it was not unexpected.

Jean welcome it has been a while.

Ai I am sorry you are dropping out, I think I owe you a card from the other exchange. I will get it on the way soon.

Believe me I am looking forward to 2009.

Chaos (with so many Jeans I am reverting back to Chaos)

Re: Project Discussion: Out of Africa Trade

Hi J!! Been checking the thread off and on all day and it really has been quiet. From the sounds of it I guess everyone is busy finishing up other trades so they all have clear drawing boards!! Do hope all is well with everyone tho. Chaos, I too am sorry to hear about your mother and aunt's passing. Prayers for you and them are being said. Take care all.

Adria

Re: Project Discussion: Out of Africa Trade

Hi gang! I'm still here.. got my first ATC done for this exchange already. Stared my 2nd and must say, I have never done one of these creatures before so this is a challenge! It looks okay so far though. I went online and through some encyclopedias here to find out what exactly there is in the way of wildlife in Africa. I want to get some creatures that are more overlooked.
So I have a list of about 30 things to make into cards! Whee! I am having fun so far. I also have a friend here in my neighborhood who "may" join, she is new to art, ATC's AND if she joins, wet canvas too! I am trying to see if I can get her to sign up.
lol I don't wanna wait 6 months, I wanna do it in 30 days lol. I think that's because I just got done in another forum with a horse a day for 30 days!!
Okay, that's my post. lol. Have a nice day/evening everyone!
