Re: Project Discussion: Vacation/Holiday Dreams

Hi Joe,

when everyone has signed up (go to the 1st page and see the link) they PM Jeanne with their Name and address (hint) - she is then the lucky duck that gets to chase all the late people up and collate the list . When its all done Jeanne will PM each of us with the list.

Usually you take the name under your own and start with them & work your through everyone back to you. Keep a scan or photo of each finished piece on your computer so that it can be posted in the finished gallery.

When you mail each one PM the person to receive it so they know its on the way. They will then PM you on receipt. That's when you post it in the finished gallery - that way the person who's mini art it is, is actually the first person to see it.

The hardest part on your first ever swap is waiting to find out that your "baby" made it safely to somewhere on the other side of the planet !(being in Oz most of my recipients are oceans away!)

Have fun

Re: Project Discussion: Vacation/Holiday Dreams

Hi Yall,

I am in again. Thanks J for such dedicated art energy. I wish I could lead but very busy with work & baby (just starts K.1 a month ago). I like this theme. I somehow find it difficult to paint everyday items. May be I was too picky with myself about the composition of an ordinary object. With the vacation dreams... well I can see the possibility.

See ya later,

Ai

Re: Project Discussion: Vacation/Holiday Dreams

Well J you got me hooked on another project, sorry I didn't make it for the everyday one, I have been doing the plant parade\pastel strokes and sometimes the different strokes (acrylic) challenges, plus all media WDE , finishing up the spring fling and postcard exchange, and I really have to finish a big project for an art auction in the fall
whew!
and this is just my artistic life, still have home-garden and work to deal with.
anyway, enough whining, this is a 6 month project, so feel I can tackle it, I have been so enjoying my other exchanges, and love getting small treasures from around the world!!
so I am in, thanks j for starting this, I must promise myself to finish all my other projects before starting this so I can concentrate on all my dream vacations.
nice to see old friends and meet some new ones!

Jeanne - I just signed up. You've got quite a number of people considering that WetCanvas was down for so long. This should be fun!

Re: Project Discussion: Vacation/Holiday Dreams

Yes Joan it was reposed during the weekend. All these joiners just thru the weekend. Nice.

Ai that wasn't when I woke up. It was when I was going to bed. I stay up late at night. That time of night is quieter for me. All 3 dogs and husband are sleeping.

Bonnie glad you made it.

I just noticed that Grekslay/Graham signed up. Now Joe won't be a lone male. We now have 15 signed.

Joe hasn't actually signed up, has he? When he does, we'll have three men, Rizwan, Graham and Joe.

Oh goody, only ten more people to come on board and off we go on travels remembered or imagined or even immediate.

Re: Project Discussion: Vacation/Holiday Dreams

I will be with Signchick in Barbados BUT I did B'dos paintings for the last project..."Spring Fling"
I am hoping to get to the Bahamas before we go to Barbados in September - not that the landscape or location is a whole lot different than B'dos or where I live in Florida BUT.....
I'm just glad to have another fun little project to sign up to.
Shall I PM my address to you or do you still have it from the Spring Fling?
