Surf by Moonlight,wip

oils on wood panel size 12x16 inches.
this is a about 8 hours work mostly wet on wet,when fully dry i will make some finishing touches and would accept any advice,
My reference photo is an old painting by Earl Daniels,which i used as a rough guide.

Looks very good thus far.
You might wish to choose just a few areas for highlights and tone down a few other bright areas.
I like it.

I have done some extra work to the painting,but have decided to crop it so as to remove the rocks in the foreground .I may post the full picture later.

Here it is with the rocks in the foreground ,I think it is better without these rocks!.

Stunning painting Dave, I love the top of the moon showing above the cloud and the light on the sea. All of it is wonderful!
