WDE Jan 12 - Cockatiels

i was regretting starting this one at one point but it came together in the end. I haven't painted many birds... they are harder than they look.

ATC size (2.5 X 3.5 in). watercolor and ink on Arches 140 lb hot press w/c paper. about 2.5 hours.

big one....

small one... actual size on 96ppi monitors

Really? I cannot see the struggle in your work. They look soft (just like they are). Torrie has her head ducked down for a pet -- her usual posture.

Beautiful job on these. When I try to go this small, I always draw too big and end up with an unexpected crop. You do it perfectly.

Such a sweet rendering! Your birds look great and I really like how you did the rope.

Love these cockatiels, they came out so great. For not doing birds easily you got these down perfect!
