Last night was my first session of this year’s figure group at the Uni (I missed the very first session because of bad weather) The first couple are always free to enourage the University’s new intake. There were around 40 people but only about 5 males which always suprises me. Perhaps the males were off boxing or kicking balls The number will reduce considerably once they have to pay, i hope…
We have a new batch of models and the first timer last night did a really good job. She had a limited range of poses but did really well in holding them.
I tried a new approach to short poses. Rather than rush to get everything down i just drew steadily within the time.
I liked the shape of this one and didnt want to go further so did a little guerrilla sketching of some of the students…
And finally, I bought this combined paper carrier and drawing board for just £5.78, great for stopping the rain getting on the paper
