Question fibre wrapping

Okay - i'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I've been looking high and low for a tutorial/book that i can get that will show me how to do this wrapping( work below is by susan green ) - there is a great pic of this style in 'beads and threads' by helen barnes but it is in the gallery - not one of the projects! and i have not seen her more recent book - i've been surfing for hours and not come up with anything.....
hoping someone has some ideas......thanks
thanks again
tam

Re: fibre wrapping

They ARE amazing!!! can't help you either, you probably just need to do some experimenting...

Edit to say: I found this link http://www.shirleyallen.com/director...n_Jewelry.html - I'm going to have to check this gallery out the next time I'm in Florida (Thanksgiving) - assuming it's still there after Charley....

Here's a link to a book review that has fiber wrapping techniques included in it:

Re: fibre wrapping

That looks like a great book! I plugged it into Amazon and read the reviews there and I was sold. I ordered it! (and another book, of course .... gotta save on shipping!)

Now I must practice patience and wait ......

Re: fibre wrapping

Hmm, that looks like the same technique they used for the old victorian hair jewelry. Something to keep in mind, I suppose
