Pilot Helmet with Eagles

Hello all,

This helmet has been waiting for a long time in my studio (over 2 years ). As I have been abroad for the last two years, I can come back to my studio in Istanbul only a few weeks all year round. This pilot was extremely kind and patient with me, he waited all this time. Today I started painting the helmet and finished at 1 a.m. Feeling a bit relieved I will get it cleared tomorrow and leave home again the next day...

He asked for a blue background degrading from lighter to darker towards the bottom line, and two eagles on both sides. The eagles I painted were not identical; similar but had different characters... He liked it...

I hope to share cleared pictures when it's done...

BTW: I would like to welcome every new member who joined during my absence...

Re: Pilot Helmet with Eagles

Hi Rob and Sam,

Many thanks for your posts. Yes, the pilot was very happy, so was I. As I was finally able to give the helmet back... On the day I was going to clear the helmet my compressor broke down, I was lucky that one of my students who has a car repair and paint shop was able to clear it for me in his shop. The pilot got his helmet back just an hour before I left for the airport for my flight back to Cyprus.

Here I share the result....

Re: Pilot Helmet with Eagles

Nzuriel,

Thank you for the comment. These eagles look different from different angles as you walk pass by them. It will be a rare case for a pilot though, as the others will be flying as fast as him, not at all a walking pace considered for the owner for most of the time.

Digital universe! Hımm I think I like it. That's where we all are while in this forum, for a start.
