Does anyone have experience using Liquin with WMOs??
Is soap and water cleanup still possible??Thanks,
Ralph

February 22, 2014 at 10:22 am #1200488Soap and water cleanup is possible with traditional oils as well as WMOs. Many “solvent free” painters don’t use solvents to clean. My guess is that the only problem you may have when using any traditional oil medium is if you try to mix water and the medium while you are painting, but not sure about that.

March 9, 2014 at 10:33 am #1200491Thanks for getting back to me, Don.
I was under the impression that we need turps for cleanup with traditional oils and I might need turps after using Liquin with my WMOs.
Happy to hear I don’t.
Thanks again.Ralph

Yes, and yes. I don’t use the water mixable solvents or mediums (including liquin) but use regular mediums with WMO’s and they still clean easily.
March 10, 2014 at 12:58 pm #1200490AnonymousI just read that again and realize that I said it wrong, here is what I meant to say:

I tried the WM mediums but didn’t like the cloudy mixes I would get sometimes, so I tried using regular mediums and they still work fine and clean up easily and so I just like them better. For the ratios of medium to paints that I use, which isn’t a lot, there seems to be enough water mixability imparted by just the paints themselves.
March 17, 2014 at 8:17 am #1200492Thanks, everyone. I am now using Liquin frequently. I think it mixes very nicely with WMOs and soap and water cleanup is still and easy chore.
