Gretchen

Gretchen, 20 x 16, oil on canvas

I completed this portrait from life at the Jepson Center for the Arts. Eleven of us artists hired a live model four times a year. Unfortunately, we couldn't get close enough to see details but it was great experience.

Re: Gretchen

Nicely done, especially since it was done from life.

Re: Gretchen

Great portrait! I am jealous of your experience.
I have seen some artists invest in a kind of binocular (or monocular) device to see the close-up details.

Re: Gretchen

Very nice portrait. I like the contrast of red against green.
The white on the earring is a bit jarring.
