Looking for some C&C. I painted what I intended, but not necessarily what I wanted. I started with a B&W underpainting this time.

Welcome to WetCanvas, Ethan! I like the colors you used and your style is nice. Here is a tip re edges one of my instructors passed on to her classes that is well worth remembering. If something is bothering you about your work, check the 4 edges. Place an imaginary ruler along each side and back a couple inches. Does each edge have something going on or is it just a long strip of color?
When I look at this landscape I see only blue sky along the top edge. Along the left side edge, same thing but for the mountain coming about half way up, dividing the composition.
Edgar Whitney, noted watercolorist and master of design, said to always have 'incidents at the edges' with any shapes, meaning don't have straight lines but interlocking. Shorelines could be more jagged or cut up in other words.
