The old hardware store - WIP

I have been walking past this local hardware shop for last for years and have always though how cluttered yet how interesting it is took at. The shop front opens right out onto the path and everyday it changes with all the bits and bobs on sale. At the end of the day everything is magically put away and shutters pulled down and the next day the arrangement changes.

So i finally got my camera out and got a shot of it straight on from across the busy road and waited till no traffic and zoomed straight on.

I like this. I've past many of these in numerous countries. I too find them interesting scenes. So glad you finally captured it's chaotic charm.

This is wonderful. The loose style of painting perfectly suits the jumbled reality. Excellent color harmony too. I don't how much more you planned to do, but I think it works as is.

I love these shops, you feel you could walk in and ask for anything and they would produce it from behind the counter. I have painted a couple myself.

Re: The old hardware store - Finished

Hi guys,

just thought i would follow up with the final painting. The shop sign is little wonky but i am not too concerned, any feed back would be great.

Thanks
Stephen

It's great Stephen, your best I think!
Try selling it to the shop, they could make cards from it!
