Re: Quick Dry Cafe - March 2017

Rain!!! That is all we have had for the last 4 weeks. I will be glad to get home to dry but cold weather. That is more preferable to steamy damp, where nothing dries. Even with a dryer, towels are damp 24 h later.

Re: Quick Dry Cafe - March 2017

Finally some sun yesterday so we took advantage of the small hint of warmth to plant a couple of trees-- an ornamental pear and a little Japanese maple to replace one that our "landscaper" () butchered a couple of years ago in an effort to "improve" it. It was perfect, it just needed to be left alone.

Have a good day everyone!

Colin, I hope that ornamental wasn't a Bradford pear. There was a fad for planting those around here several years ago which didn't turn out all that well.

No it is a "Capital" variety, so hopefully it won't have the problems that the Bradfords do down your way (Timber!!! )

Back to the cold today. I am definitely looking forward to the plane ride.....not. But at least I am looking forward to a lack of rain at the end. Oh and I get to see my cats

Heh, as my gf would say, that would be "the cut direct." I don't know where she comes up with that stuff

She is very smart. Luckily, she has poor taste in men.

Re: Quick Dry Cafe - March 2017

Home again and already missing sunshine, warm temperatures and blue skies. Our ship was covered in beautiful Guy Harvey designs, so it looked and felt really special. We missed the snow which fell on two days last week. Luckily it had all melted by the time we landed. We were worried that we'd have to dig the cars out at the airport! Hope you are all well. Time for a coffee, but no cookies today - the diet starts here!
