Absolutely. PJs are perfectly acceptable.

Noticed today that the frangipani are showing buds. Very early but still most appreciated. The fragrance can be very heady. I now have 8 plants, mostly yellows but I do have an amazing rainbow frangipani.

Unfortunatlly a lot of the orange trees have died due to the disease called "greening". The orchards are not in great shape but they are working on coming up with a resolution. I did smell some blossoms while we were walking yesterday morning, but it was still dark so no pictures. I have a couple very young trees in the back yard and need to go put some fertilizer around them... and water. It is real dry here.

Welcome to the Café, Eila.

No frangipani or oranges here. It was very cold again today. My sister called and said they had more snow in the mid island area.

Re: Quick Dry Cafe - March 2017

Hi all. Thank you for warm welcome. Very cold here today too and another system due to drop snow again next week. Not good! Off to try new craft tomorrow - glass lampwork. Not sure what to expect; could finish the day with a very expensive glass bead and burnt fingers!

Re: Quick Dry Cafe - March 2017

Thanks bluefish. When I moved here from the UK two years ago I used to buy ice to cool my wine, until my daughter who came here ten years ago grabbed a bottle from me, opened the back door, and stuck it in the snow outside. Duh!

Re: Quick Dry Cafe - March 2017

I take it you drink warm wine in the summer?

you have my curiousity aroused with that delighful, unusual name...my understanding is that the name has two backgrounds...one is Irish and the other Hebrew....am I correct?

Yes bluefish, you are correct, but I am neither. Just a UK 'southerner' who ended up living in Canada via an abortive attempt at living in Lanzarote. Love living here though. Cold snowy winters, hot sunny summers, fabulous colourfull fall, but blink and you'll miss spring.

Re: Quick Dry Cafe - March 2017

now that you are on our side of the great pond, I have one grammar correction for you...I've been working on Maureen , for years, but she payes no heed to me....it's color, not colour..why type an extra 'u' in the word when its not pronounced with it present....

Re: Quick Dry Cafe - March 2017

Eila...I know about 'no spring'....I live at the beach and the water stays cold until almost summer, therefore no or very little spring but nice long fall season because of the warm water...

Good one bluefish! I am still at the point where people I'm speaking to glaze over, obviously not understanding a word I'm saying, before coming up with 'I love your accent, how do you pronounce ...., and do you know my distant cousin who lives 500 miles north of where you come from?"

And you live at the beach? Lucky you! Still, I'm off to the Caribbean next week, so sun, sea and sand here I come!
