Blue did I make you go pink with that compliment? We will have to call you purple.

Re: Quick Dry Cafe - March 2017

Glad to see you back, Maureen! So sorry for your loss!
I haven't been painting lately and won't be again until probably mid summer, maybe sooner, after getting settled in up north again.
I'll still be popping in here to look at all the great paintings and get some inspiration!

Yes I agree with Blue, eating first, then dressing. Who has the energy to get dressed without coffee and toast? It is hard enough to find matching socks without trying to do so on an empty stomach.

Maureen, I'm sorry for your loss. Despite all the things you have to do, always remember to take care of yourself, and your husband (they try to act tough but they need to be babied a little too.)

Re: Quick Dry Cafe - March 2017

Thanks Blue

Dianna, you may not have seen all the posts .... my husband died suddenly on Jan.16th but 3 weeks later my sister's husband also died suddenly.... so double family tragedy.

At the risk of being accused of 'gallows humour', I do hope the saying about things happening in 'threes' isn't true!! ..... I've had enough!

Re: Quick Dry Cafe - March 2017

My mum also says these tragedies come in threes. We had two relatively distant relatives pass away in January but she is determined she will get news of a third one any day.

The latest family news of a non-tragic sort is that my cousin's husband in Donegal has become famous for having bought himself a decommissioned British tank to get around town. No one is going to steal a parking spot out from under him anymore!

Re: Quick Dry Cafe - March 2017

Lol Colin - a tank would certainly be given a wide berth! - I wasn't allowed to read the article unless I first filled a survey form - but I saw the picture!

Thanks Cliff - though hearing me ? well - better not at present! I've talked more in the last couple of months than I have done in the past 20+ years since I stopped teaching! My voice is so croaky I'm wondering if it will return to normal ever!!!
People say to unplug the phones - but I'd forget to plug them back in ...... or let the answer phone take over ..... but I always feel compelled to answer a ringing phone! Crazy me!
Right now, I'm waiting for a call-back from the Council to arrange collection of Care equipment .... if they'd just let me take it back, they could have had it by now!

Nice that Spring is nearly here -the daffs will be opening soon.
