This is my first time trying this… I hope I did this right and didn’t miss anything! Here is my pencil drawing, its about 4″ x 6″. The first one is at 5min, the final sketch is at 30 min. I added some conte crayon because it needed “something”.

January 9, 2018 at 8:14 pm #542279Nice! I like the addition of the Conte, that little bit of color livens it up beautifully. Good strong darks, good form, lovely textures, you’ve got something excellent here. Very lively and inspiring, since it’s tools for painting it does leave me itching to do something with my own brushes!

Instagram harry.hamillJanuary 11, 2018 at 4:31 am #542287Hi April, thanks for joining in! Really good lively 5-minute sketch, it has some good bits of detail. Love the finished piece, the contrasts in the background give the picture a lot of interest and the subtle hints of colour really bring the subject to life.
