How to Become a Registered Critiquer! (It's free, so why not?)

Not all members can post replies to threads in this forum. Only those members who have agreed to the site standards for the structured critiques forum will be allowed to respond to critique requests. Becoming a registered critiquer is easy, you simply read the guidelines on the signup page, check the "I agree" box, and submit the form - at that point, you can respond to posts in this forum.

To become a registered critiquer, complete the signup form on this page..

Cheers.
Scott

"Sorry, you must be a normal, registered user in order to sign up as a registered critiquer!"

So how does it ACTUALLY work

Hi, I checked with Scott, and he tells me that in order to register for structured critique you need to do the following:
- Make sure you have cookies enabled
- Make sure you have selected the option for remembering your username/password

These are both required.
You may want to check out the thread "staying logged in"
in the Site Discussions forum as it may hold some clues.

If you are trying to sign up to be a registered critiquer (clicking the link in the first post in this thread), and get the error, that means you are already a registered critiquer.

If you are trying to post a piece for critique and are getting an error:

Make sure that nothing is blocking cookies (firewall programs, popup ad blockers, etc). You may have a corrupt cookie - manually delete them from your browser and relog in.

Search Artie for "cookie" for some tips.

Scott: I would like to become a "normal" user....whatever that means...I have reviewed the other posts and I have done everything you suggest but I am still getting the same error message. When I tried to post something for critique in this area, it won't let me....help!

I find this whole web site confusing and the language is foreign to me. I just want to be able to communicate with other artists, but feel overwhelmed with the process.

Re: How to Become a Registered Critiquer! (It's free, so why not?)

When I tried to register the error said I most probably have already signed up. Was there a box to click the first time I registered to the site?
Since I've come here to sign up for the first time, could I have sign up inadvertently before?

Is there somewhere users can check there privileges before they go through the trouble of getting this error?

Well, I critiqued and then realized that perhaps I shouldn't have because I might not be registered as such. Don't know if I am or not. I tried, and got this

Re: How to Become a Registered Critiquer! (It's free, so why not?)

Hi Scott,

I have been trying for over an hour to become a registered critiquer.

I'm told I have to be a registered member. When I try to register again I'm told I already am a registered member. Cookies are enabled.

Can you help please.

Thanks

Harry
