There is something about painting scrapped 'things', it opens up lots of new possibilities, they can be set in locations they would not normally be seen in,eg a ship being scrapped can be shown sitting on the mud with the whole hull on view ( not normally seen except in dry dock). Lots of new colours and textures!.
Why not have a go,? plenty ref on the internet. This one took a couple of hours, but I could have gone on with more detailed vegitation and other scrap

ironicly you can now do this the other way round with the last flying south african shakleton flying over a scrapped nimrod !!

although it is not flown it is still kept in airworthy condition !!
