Re: Harley Brown's eternal truths....

THE NEW YEAR .....2014

It seems strange putting that number down: 2014

Especially when I remember such numbers as 1948, 1972, etc.

A much overused phrase is "Where did the time go?" Impossible to answer.

When you think of it, a year is quite a bit of time. All of us can recall certain years where we did the impossible or the unusual. Things that make our existence matter.

In time, as I got confidence in myself, (through art actually,) I saw that finding myself was the ticket to a "contented" feeling. It also gave me resilience, strength.

As this past year drifts into memories and the New Year opens up, we have a chance to commit: "I need to get serious." Serious about enjoying life and having inspired fun. Fun in our own very individual way.

WARNING: self fulfillment and doing what pleases, makes time fly.

Right here and right now, I wish you the best of life coming up. It's not easy and never will be; yet that challenge lifts our spirits when bits and pieces begin to happen. Remember: bits and pieces in the right direction.

Here's to you.
-Harley-

Hope your year is shaping up to be the best yet, Harley!
I have been trawling back through my old copies of International Artist. Your words still inspire my thoughts, and it is good to be reminded of what your wrote. Thank you!
