I was Googling casein paintings and saw this one, which I don’t think I ever posted in Landscapes. I found the original painting. It was very dirty and looked faded. I washed it off, and it looked acceptable, so I rescanned it.

RichardJanuary 20, 2018 at 7:04 pm #549014Well done Richard.
The barn kind of sparkles….was there a technique
you used for that?January 20, 2018 at 8:06 pm #549016That may be due to the texture of the paper. It seems to have been enhanced by the scan. I’ll take a photo of it tomorrow and see if it looks the same as the scan.
C&C is welcome.

January 20, 2018 at 11:26 pm #549017Thanks for the observation, Gary. The idea of loneliness or being alone is exactly what I was trying to convey.
C&C is welcome.
RichardJanuary 21, 2018 at 6:27 am #549020You’ve conveyed the feeling of loneliness very well. I think scans sometimes make paintings look as if they were done in pointillism!

January 21, 2018 at 2:58 pm #549018It was a bad scan. I scanned it again, and that sparkly effect is gone.
C&C is welcome.
RichardJanuary 21, 2018 at 6:16 pm #549015Your second scan looks better.
