Robert, you got the saddle down very well, but you need a wider range of values to really make it pop. As is the saddle blends into the background and gets lost. You did a great job on the blanket. It looks soft and the plaid is wonderful. I haven't seen this piece before. How large is it and how long did it take you to stipple the piece?

Took too long....
[prob about 30 hours]
Is presently out on exhibit, but when back [assuming not sold], will deepen the values....

Re: "Drawn and Quartered"

Is hard for me to 'think small'....... seems if to get into a work, it must be large enough to do so....
[my space one - View Master - is 4' x 8' , as anything smaller just would not give the SPACE feeling to the work...]

Very nice... I admire your patience. I've only done little 4"x4" ones and those pooped me out! I can't imagine doing anything that size!

Re: "Drawn and Quartered"

Robert, having done a little pen and ink work, I have a great appreciation for how tedious this can be... and especially at that size! Good job.

Re: "Drawn and Quartered"

I can't recall hearing about a pen and ink piece that large! What an ambitious undertaking. I tend to agree with Charissa about the values but before muddling with it, be sure our comments apply to the original work. There may be fading in the image. It's a wonderful rendering!
