New to WC!

Excited to be joining other artists that appreciate good art! Will post some of my work soon! The photos I have of my work are not great since the flash usually reflects off the scratchboard, but I try to adjust the brightness when I save them.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Re: New to WC!

Hi SN! Welcome to wetcanvas. Scratchboard is one of those mediums calling to me...must resist...must resist!

The trick to photographing art is no flash. I either take photos outdoors on overcast days or on my open front porch when the sun is all around it. Try it!

Welcome again!

New from Loveland

I joined this past weekend after meeting a fellow scratchboard artist at the local festival. So excited to learn new tips and see more awesome work! Also hoping to discover ideas of how to make a little money with my work - not the best (by far!), but not bad either!! I've seen some absolutely fantastic pieces on here and they inspire me!! Here's one of my newer pieces.

Re: New from Loveland

Thank you both! Nice to find it didn't get deleted!! This one was actually 9x12. I'm still figuring out the best way to take photos of my pieces without getting the glare. I could enlarge the shots I have so more detail can be seen. Will try that and see...
