Hello Poppy

Illustrations for a childrens book about a rescued lamb. True story - he was a preemie born while they were rescuing his mother. He comes to the farm and meets the other animals there.

Wonderful style. I really love your style of illustrations. The personalities of the animals are well displayed. My favorite are the chickens/rooster. Other then that all the animals are really quite colorful despite using a more realistic colour pallet.

In the future you may wanna explore highlights and shadows a bit more. Try different shades of colour. Study how light and dark affect the colour of highlights and shadow. For example the sun at 8pm. Because its setting you may get more yellow in your highlights not just shades of white.
Light on objects look different in the rain.
In a barn at night the animals under the glow of a traditional light might have a warm yellowish light to it and then as I said before will make the highlights a yellowish colour.
Just try it and it will bring more life to the world of the little lamb. 😊💕
